»Alain Robbe Grillet is dead«
I.Intro:
The project consists of three c++ light projections: Alain, Robbe and Grillet.
On all of three projections colorful heads and their glows draw the singular letters. The colors and the glows do change their color values during the running of the application.
The projection runs on the background with the image of the cover side of the TV program weekly magazine Vikend (6th.march 2009), on which we can see smiling TV cooking mistress Nigella and the table full of sweets.
II.Short description:
Beside the typical typography of the weekly magazine, we can also notice small advertisements (for car fair, for interior design and against alcoholism). The background with Nigella is coming out of darkness to its full visibility-sharing it with words Alain, Robbe, Grillet and then gently disappears in darkness.
On the wall beside the three computer light projections there is an enlarged image (100cm X 70cm) of the cover of the magazine with the small handwriting “is dead”on it. “Is dead” is not present in the c++ light projections.
III.Hommage:
The preciseness of the date (6.3.2009), periodic repetitions, TV program for the next week, colorful cover of the magazine with a woman and sweets, advertisements – do stand in the sharp contrast with the title of the project, which is telling us on this strange background (weekend magazine), that Alain Robbe Grillet is dead.
