Project:
The parent’s house and my palace

The Palace piece

The ground stone of the project is the statue “My Palace”. It is built around central axis (like a temple), with simple entrance, staircase, top of building. Luxury, wealth in the word palace is contrasted with material facts of the built palaces. The palaces are unfinished, some parts are missing, bent…

Palaces are singularly exhibited, each one with its own local and discreet lighting. The light is the integral part of the statue. Every palace dwells in its specific environment, with its own existential specificity (edges, cups, funnels…), shortly-the soul image of the palace with its valuables is connected with specific existential experience. The palaces are built from very tiny layers of plaster.

Drawings

The second part presents the drawings of the houses of our parents. They remain in our memories as facts (garden, balcony, small rooms, entrance at the side…) but these facts are also settlement for soul experience and specific spiritual constellations.

The drawings do focus on the houses as facts. They are drawn on occasional paper (back sides of all kind of bills, envelops, paper bags…) – the kind of paper we usually throw away after using it. They are drawn with simple pencils, pens …as if we would like to describe a friend in few lines how does the particular building looks like.

C++ Application

In the c++ application, the drawings of the house are gently moving through their backgrounds (bills, envelop, pregnancy test…) coming to its full presence and then disappearing into new background with new drawing.
